Zero Waste

Fremont Lake Union Center’s diversion rate was 91.24% for the calendar year 2020, so we’ll need everyone’s participation to keep it up! Our goal is to attain a diversion rate of 90% or greater of our landfill waste to recycling and/or compost by the end of 2022. A higher diversion rate is excellent for the environment, and it lowers our refuse bill – savings that are ultimately passed back to you. Learn more about our Zero Waste Policy and find out how you can help. 

Green Cleaning

Kilroy Realty has always used the most advanced green cleaning products and practices in all of our buildings. We are constantly searching for the latest information on green cleaning and update our cleaning services whenever we see an opportunity to further minimize the environmental impact of our custodial practices. Fremont Lake Union Center Street has an excellent Green Cleaning program.

Sustainable Purchasing

Kilroy Realty understands the significant role material selection plays in the operation of a sustainable building. Throughout a material’s lifecycle, extraction, processing, transportation, use & disposal, there are many negative health & environmental consequences.
